Oil/Gas Exploration And Drilling

Field engineers on-site at oil and gas drilling wells need to perform rapid viscosity tests which simulate pressurized process conditions for down-hole environments. Applications include fracturing fluids, drilling muds, cements and oil/water emulsions, all at elevated temperatures characteristic of down-hole conditions.

Oil/Gas Field Service

The Brookfield TT-100 and TT-200 in-line process viscometers have a worldwide reputation in the oil and gas well fracturing market. Well fracturing operations, which increase the yield from existing and new wells, require in-line viscosity control to ensure the proper rheology of the fracturing fluid which is introduced down the hole at pressures up to 20,000 psi.

Fuel Oil

Fuel oil is used to heat and/or power large commercial and institutional buildings. The problem for plant and facilities managers is the variable quality of delivered oil. Inefficient burning of fuel can result if the oil does not properly atomize during combustion.
